UCLA Parents’ Council and Office of Parent & Family Programs would like to welcome you to the UCLA family!
Greetings UCLA Parents and Families,
The UCLA Parents’ Council and
the UCLA Office of Parent & Family Programs (PFP) recognize the importance of family and parents as part of an overall support network enabling your students to thrive. You will find that your students are not the only ones who will grow and learn; parents and family members can gain so much from being involved as well.
We understand the changing dynamics of the student/parent relationship
as your student becomes more independent. Knowing that UCLA is
a large institution, with a vast number
of resources that can be daunting for
a student to navigate on their own,
we want to be sure you have the
tools and information to be the best resource for your student. To do this, we communicate regularly with families via our Bruinlink electronic newsletter and social media channels.
To stay informed, access a list of commonly contacted offices and find advice on a broad range of topics related to parenting a college student, we encourage you to visit the Parent & Family Programs website at parents.ucla.edu.
Have a question or comment?
Use the Parent & Family Helpline
at (310) 794-6737 or email at [email protected]; the PFP team is here to assist you with all things UCLA.
There are many great opportunities
for parents and family to become directly involved with the UCLA campus community. We invite you
to consider volunteering and even becoming a member of the Parents’ Council organization. It is a great way to personally experience the spirit, energy and optimism which embodies being a Bruin! We love being actively involved and look forward to seeing you at Bruin Family Weekend which will take place in late October.
Congratulations!
Your friends at UCLA Parents’ Council
