Family Weekend Advisory Council
The Family Weekend Advisory Council (FWAC) is a group of parents who offer input about Family Weekend programming to College administrators as they plan this annual event. FWAC members provide feedback via email during the Family Weekend planning process and act as greeters and assist in other volunteer roles during Family Weekend.
Other ways that you can directly participate in the life of the College and be a Family Ambassador:
• Provide your career expertise and professional connections to our students through Career Engagement programs
• Assist with leadership development programs and opportunities with the Garthwait Leadership Center
• Increase opportunities for all Gettysburg College students by contributing to the Gettysburg Fund and by asking other parents to do the same
Philanthropy
Gettysburg College parents and family members, along with alumni, make gifts to the Gettysburg Fund and the Orange & Blue Club throughout the year.
This combined effort provides the financial support that is the foundation of each student’s experience at Gettysburg, making it possible for faculty, coaches, and administrators to act on new ideas, new projects, and new needs immediately. The Gettysburg Fund and the Orange & Blue Club support every aspect of student life from academic activities to student organizations to athletic equipment and facilities. These funds provide a Gettysburg education that is customizable for each individual — while one student may grow by studying across the globe, another may benefit from advanced technology to refine their athletic game. The needs of every student are unique and important!
Gifts to the Gettysburg Fund and the Orange & Blue Club ensure the very best Gettysburg College education for every student, every day.
