To participate in the Partners In Education (PIE) program, a student simply clicks on the “Partners in Education (PIE)” link in PipelineMT. Please note that the release does not apply to personal counseling or health information protected by FERPA; however, if students are experiencing problems in these areas, MTSU staff will identify available resources. The student may remove the authorization at any time by simply returning to this link.
Please note that this program does not provide the PIE partner with online access to student information. All information requests are fulfilled through the MT One Stop.
The Partners in Education (PIE) program helps address the needs of students by creating a partnership, fostering communication between students, their families, and the University. Through the Partners in Education program, PIE partners can request academic information and suggestions to help them provide effective support for their student.

Questions, concerns, or problems? Email the MT One Stop at [email protected] and make sure to include your student’s M# and your Partner in Education PIN number.

The required PIN is for the purpose of identifying your partner when they call to request information. Choose a PIN that is easy for them to remember.
What to expect from the PIE program
When your PIE partner contacts the MT One Stop and places a request for information about issues such as grades or attendance, the MT One Stop will contact the necessary parties to fulfill the request and direct to campus resources as needed. When the information requested is available, the MT One Stop will send it via email. Please note that the student is notified and copied on the requests that are made.
Student Authorization for Release of Confidential Information
By adding partners on the “Add/ Update/ Remove my Partners in Education” link, a student authorizes the release of confidential academic, financial aid, student financial account information, academic progress reports and grades (when available) to the person(s) named. This release does not apply to other information (discipline, counseling and health records) protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Authorization is valid as long as the student is enrolled (without a break in enrollment) at Middle Tennessee State University or until the partner is removed via the “Add/ Update/ Remove my Partners in Education” link in PipelineMT.
